Your First Day
Your First Day at Crown: What Actually Happens
Your first appointment at Crown Behavioral Health in Columbus is an intake and assessment meeting. It typically takes one to two hours and is designed to help our clinical team understand where you are right now, what you have been through, and what kind of support will work best for you.
There is nothing to prepare for other than showing up. Our team will guide the conversation and make sure you feel heard every step of the way.
Questions about your mental health history, substance use, and current living situation
A review of your goals and what matters most to you in recovery
A discussion of which level of care is the right starting point
Time to ask any questions you have about the program
Your First Week
Building Your Care Plan in the First Week
Your treatment plan takes shape quickly, and you are part of building it.
By the end of your first week, you will have a personalized treatment plan that reflects your specific goals, schedule, and needs. Crown does not apply a fixed program timeline to every client. Your pace is built around your situation.
You will not be handed a binder and told to figure it out. Your team walks alongside you from day one.
Finalize your level of care (PHP, IOP, or standard outpatient)
Introduce you to the groups and individual sessions that are part of your plan
Connect you with any additional support you need, such as medication management or housing
Set short-term goals and check-in points so progress is clear and measurable
